Quality Policy


CEU Administration, in close collaboration with the Rector, considering the best interests of the students and society in general, commit to:

  1. Implement and regularly renew a Strategic Plan in the different levels of CEU-UAL structure, through a proactive institutional leadership;
  2. Keep close attention, foster and support the Integrated Quality System (Sistema Integrado da Qualidade – SIQ CEU-UAL), one of the cornerstones to fulfil its Mission;
  3. Integrate the needs and expectations of (internal and external) stakeholders that interact with CEU-UAL in order to achieve high levels of functional satisfaction and coherence;
  4. Motivate and commit, through regular participation, the (internal and external) stakeholders to enhance SIQ CEU-UAL;
  5. Ensure the conditions necessary to pursue the objectives of SIQ CEU-UAL, in particular those inherent to ensuring quality and accreditation of studies cycles in accordance to the standards laid down by the higher education accreditation agency (Agência de Avaliação e Acreditação do Ensino Superior – A3ES);
  6. Develop and maintain a strategy for ongoing improvement of its training offer based on applied research activities which will contribute to increased skills in providing high quality service provision and generatingeconomic and social value from  knowledge;
  7. Strengthen the conditions to support a policy and a practice of applied research leading to knowledge production, which, when transferred, will ensure innovation at corporate and social levels, thus providing return on investment;
  8. Ensure the relevant support processes to greater fairness in student access higher education;
  9. Ensure the dissemination and recognition of SIQ CEU-UAL by its employees, clearly state its objective, considering the core relevance of students and the need to ensure teaching quality and its continuous enhancement;
  10. Comply with all legal, regulatory and standardizing requirements.
