The Master Program in Applied Communication at Universidade Autónoma de Lisboa is a multidisciplinary, labour-market oriented program, aimed at providing advanced training in Digital Communication, i.e., mastering skills in different scientific fields, such as digital storytelling, digital marketing and e-governance.
The classes are held in the Communication Labs, where multiple platform equipment is available to meet the required crossmedia needs.
The theoretical-practical approach is complemented by deep analysis and discussion of major topics in Communication Sciences, such as Communication and Public Space, Media Literacy, the Portuguese media market and the Portuguese-language media market.
Pursuant to Article 6 of the Regulation on Master and PhD Programs at UAL, applicants to the Master program include:
- Those holding a Bachelor degree or legally equivalent degree in the scientific field of the Master or in a similar field, who are approved by the Scientific Commission of the Department responsible for the program;
- Those holding a foreign 1st studies cycle diploma awarded by the Higher Education Institution from a State that acceded to the principles of the Bologna Process..
- Those holding a foreign higher education diploma recognized as meeting the objectives of a Bachelor degree by the Scientific Commission of the Department responsible for the program.
- In duly justified cases, applicants to the Master program are accepted whose education, scientific or professional background are relevant to attend the studies cycle and which are recognized as such by the Scientific Council, upon opinion by the Scientific Commission of the Department responsible for the program.
