Carlos Pedro Dias holds a Bachelor degree in International Relations by Universidade Autónoma de Lisboa, a post-graduation in Labour and Organizational Sociology by ISCSP and is attending the PhD program in Communication Sciences at ISCTE-IUL. In 2005, he attended WAN-IFRA Newsplex, at the University of South Carolina, in the USA.
He is a specialist in the field of Information and Journalism, pursuant to Decree-Law n.º 206/2009 of 31 August, recognized by the Scientific Council of Universidade Autónoma de Lisboa.
Carlos Pedro Dias started his career in the TV network RTP in 1987 and was one of the founders of the private TV channel SIC, in 1992. He was an editor, a producer, a director, a journalist, a production and direction coordinator and the general coordinator of the news channel SIC Notícias. At the same time, he was a trainer at CENJOR, at ETIC and at RNA – Rádio Nacional de Angola, as well as a lecturer at UAL and at Universidade Europeia (IADE).
He was a consultant for the administration of the Angolan TV channel – TPA (Televisão Pública de Angola), As well as Program and Information director of two Portuguese TV channels.
