Denise dos Santos holds a Bachelor degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences, awarded in 2005 by FFUL, a Master in Company Management, specialism in Corporate Planning and Strategy and a PhD in Economics, specialism in Business Economics, awarded by Universidade Autónoma in 2009 and 2011, respectively. She has been a university lecturer since 2010 and the scientific coordinator of the Bachelor Program in Health Units Administration since 2013.
She was the scientific coordinator of the Executive MBA in Health Management and Economics, a program offered by Autónoma Academy, from 2010 to 2015. Denise Santos was a pharmacist at CHLC, technical director at Nanques Farma, a distribution company for human pharmaceutical products in Angra do Heroismo, where she was responsible for logistics, management of human resources and implementation of the quality system. She was a consultant to Farmácias Comunitárias in terms of management and therapeutic advice and a consultant to APMEI in organizational competitiveness.
She conducts research in the fields of Health Units Management, Health Policies, Public Health and Health Economics.
