José Amado Silva

- International Relations Department - PhD in International Relations: Geopolitics and Geoeconomics

Chemical Industrial Engineer from Instituto Superior Técnico (IST) of the University of Lisbon and a PhD in Economics by Catholic University of Portugal (UCP), where he was Vice-Rector (1989-1993), Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Business Sciences, and the Director of the Applied Economics Research Center (1995-1997).

He was a professor of Economics in several universities.

Consultant of companies, ministerial offices and public institutes in the areas of privatizations, evaluation of community programs, business strategies, industrial policy and regulation.

He has several studies and publications in the area of regulation and competition and business ethics.

He was Chairman of ICP ANACOM (2006-2012).

He is an Independent Director, the Chairman of the Risk Committee, the Vice-Chairman of the Audit Committee of OMICLEAR and member of Remuneration Committee.

Is the Rector of Universidade Autónoma de Lisboa.
