José Brás dos Santos holds a PhD in Business Sciences by Universidad de Seville and a European PhD; a Diploma of Advanced Studies in Corporate Management and Marketing Management by Universidad de Seville; a Bachelor in Business Organization and Management by Universidade Moderna.
He is Associate Professor (since 2016) in the Economic and Business Sciences Department, and a lecturer at UAL since 2009 (Auxiliary Professor). He has lectured different courses within the Bachelor, Master and PhD in Management, having supervised several Master dissertations and PhD theses. He was responsible for the course unit Research Methodology in the Master in Marketing at IADE – Universidade Europeia – for several years. He started his career as a lecturer as Invited Assistant at Instituto Jean Piaget – Almada Campus.
He is a researcher at OBSERVARE- Observatório de Relações Exteriores (UAL) and invited researcher at the Universidad de Seville. Reviewer of the Journal of International Entrepreneurship, of Jornadas Luso-Espanholas de Gestão Científica and of IUDE – Instituto Universitario de de la Empresa (Universidad de la Laguna). He is the co-founder of ASIBEAM – Asociación Iberoamericana de Economía, Administración y Marketing, of which he is scientific director «Solidari(e)dad(e) – Revista Iberoamericana de Empresa Solidária». Co-author of the book «Habilidades Directivas», published in Spain, as well as author and co-author of severals cientific papers, most of which published in Spain and Brazil.
He is an Auditor, focusing mostly on Human Resources, Processes and organizations And has held several positions in different public and private companies.
His research interests include: Human Resources; Organizational and Individual Performance, Performance Assessment; Intellectual Capital and Rasch Models Knowledge Management; Business Strategy; Entrepreneurship.
