Associate Professor of the Department of International Relations, Luísa Godinho holds a PhD and a Master’s Degree in Political Science from the Université de Genève, Switzerland, having obtained both degrees with a grant from the Portuguese Foundation for Science and Technology (FCT).
As a researcher, she is currently a member of the Observare – Observatory of Foreign Relations, from UAL, a research center accredited by the FCT.
Being particularly interested in a discursive approach to socio-political phenomena, her research work focuses on topics such as ideological positioning, national identity and country image, among others, with publications in scientific journals indexed on the Scopus and Isi databases.
Luísa Godinho has a particular vocation for teaching, being responsible for courses in the areas of culture and communication for International Relations and teaching at the level of bachelor’s, master’s and doctorate.
Editor of the Janus yearbook, published since 1996, and reviewer of several national and international scientific publications in the area of political science and international relations.
Since 2014, has been an elected member of the Scientific Council of the Autonomous University of Lisbon.
Belongs to the European Political Science Association, among other international scientific associations.
